Brigadier General Jedediah Huntington was born in Norwich, Conn. He graduated from Harvard in 1763 and received his master's in 1770 from Yale. After graduating from Harvard, he became involved with the Norwich Militia, eventually becoming a Captain in May, 1774. In the spring of 1776, now a Colonel, he marched to Dorchester Heights.
